DESCRIPTION:
The Healing Journey What prompts a person to take a 10,000-mile road trip to Alaska…alone? Maybe it’s a goal of finding the will to move forward, to breathe again, to love again, and be strong for the loved ones left behind. This was not a vacation, but a Healing Journey. It all started with, “Tell Jesus Hi.” Those were the last words I ever whispered to my wife. As she lay in hospice and took her last breath on earth after a brief battle with cancer. Now what? What do I do? How will my family make it? She was gone, and I knew life as we had known it, would never be the same. Death has a way of forcing us to look at this life very different. When we experience the grief and loss of a loved one, we must reevaluate everything. That is exactly what I did. The Healing Journey will give you a glimpse of one man’s survival. It may also give you hope to survive the loss and the grief of your loved one. Moving forward to a new life we call the new normal. Partly an Alaskan travel journal, complete with maps. It also includes wildlife and landscape photography, and some history of the Alaskan Highway, but mostly it is a personal journal and the steps to recovery for one man. This book was written to be encouragement for your personal journey.
